Holly Sweet was raised in Moneta, Virginia. Her parents, Mel Sweet and Shirley Hunter Sweet, were both musicians and raised Holly as a member of their musical group. During her childhood, Holly performed with The Shirley Hunter Band throughout the state at churches, regional festivals and other local events.

After graduating from Staunton River High School in 1991, Holly joined the popular local musical group Whitehorse, performing for five years at festivals, fairs and clubs throughout the region.

During the same time, Holly attended Virginia Western Community College, completed an internship in the marketing department at WROV, 96.3fm, and earned her associates degree in radio and television production. Following graduation, Holly was employed as a sales associate for a country radio station in Bedford, Virginia. In 1994, she was offered a position with Outback Artists in Roanoke, where she served as a talent booking agent for venues and bands throughout the regional area.

Holly relocated to Nashville, Tennessee in February, 1996 to pursue a career in the music industry. She has performed and recorded for the past 10 years, in addition to enjoying a career in marketing and sales. Holly now looks forward to returning home to her family and friends in Virginia as director of sales, marketing and promotions for Sweetwater Amphitheater.
